TBD Forte Lounge and Garden

We found a secret garden with secret dinning in NoHu and we couldn’t wait to share it with ya’ll! What is secret dinning? They are paladares. What is paladares? It’s when you pay to eat at someone’s house instead of a restaurant. They are all over the world and we are very happy that we have one in NoHu! Yes you read that right, right here in your backyard in NoHu. Jen Maxine is a food and experience curator from Guttenburg, NJ. She hosts lunches, brunches and dinners in her beautiful home in NoHu called Forte Lounge & Garden. We met Jen about a year ago when she was just starting to put everything in order and we were very excited to be the first brunch she hosted for this season. It was one of our friend’s birthdays and we wanted to do something different and out of the ordinary. We’re not a normal bunch and love thinking outside the box. Some may say we’re a bit extra.

 Jen and her staff were very easy to work with. We’re a picky bunch and we love to eat, #NoHuFoodiesForLife. Some in attendance are probably food snobs and we can say that because we’re friends. The birthday guest is vegan and Jen was more then happy to accommodate our every food request. The attention to detail was beyond what we expected. Jen had personal seating place cards, a big digital Happy Birthday sign with the birthday guest name, and we had our own personal photographer because she wanted us to enjoy the moment and not worry about taking pictures. We knew we were in love with this experience when the first thing they presented to us was a welcome coconut tequila shot. Our dinner was sponsored by Yave tequila and her partner explained every type of tequila he gave us. They even gave us exclusive tasting of their whiskey barrel tequila that is not even on the market yet. Talk about being spoiled ya’ll.

 Now lets talk about the food. OH MY GOD the food was to die for! She buys everything from a local farmer so the food is always fresh. She has even built an urban garden so she can use all the herbs she grows. Everything is fresh and made with love. You can tell how much love she puts into this and it shows through her good vibes and food. Her mother helps with the meals and we fell in love with her too, so much so that we’re still trying to figure out how to kidnap her because she is legit YAASS Queen.

 We literally felt like royalty ya’ll. They took care of everything. They took care of us. We came for the food but it was truly an experience and we are all dying to go back. My friends and I cannot stop talking about what a great time we had. You would be very lucky to book her because she’s pretty amazing!
